VTR Control Software

VTRecord functions primarily as a programmable means for recording future video feeds. VTRecord provides an ideal method of reliably recording satellite broadcasts at odd hours throughout the day. A programming grid clearly shows what time slots are set-up to be recorded, making operation very straightforward.

Running on most any Windows-equipped personal computer, VTRecord provides VTR control via a serial cable (available separately) from one of the COM ports. Now any RS422-capable (9-pin "Sony Serial") videotape machine, or the RS232-equipped Sony UVW1400, can be used for automated recording duty. Several instances of the program can be run so more than one recorder can be controlled.

The start and finish times for the planned recording sessions are stored in a Record Table, this information can be saved to disk for later use. Status displays are provided to keep track of the recording operation.
