Interface Adapters
The RS-1/L adapters offer a reliable and cost-effective translation between switch closures and LANC-equipped (Control-L) tape decks. The RS-1/L provides basic transport control to the tape decks, including power on/off control.
The RS-1/L is available in two versions, the RS-1/LX and the RS-1/LY. It has several controls and operating modes, including automatic power up and power down. The -1/LX has switch inputs for Record, Stop, Play, Fast Forward, Rewind, and Power. The 1/LY, intended for camcorder control, has switch inputs for Record Start/Stop, Zoom Wide, Zoom Tele, and Auto Focus On/Off. The -1/LY also has status LEDs to tally Record, Stop, and AF off.
Taking power from the camcorder or deck, these adapters require neither a separate power supply nor batteries. Both -1/L versions use the power available in the LANC cable. The adapter includes a 6' cable to the camcorder/deck .
